FAQ
01. How long is the session
No two children are alike, and neither are their portrait sessions. Some children connect with the camera immediately and some need extra time to be comfortable. Most of the photography happens within 15 minutes, but I allow plenty of time for us to settle in and let your child feel at ease.

02. when will i view the images

Your portraits will be carefully hand-edited and ready to view in approximately two weeks. Once they're complete, I'll send you a private online gallery where you can view your images and select your favorite artwork. I take great care with every portrait to ensure each one reflects the timeless quality Atelier LAO is known for.

When will my artwork be ready?

Once you've selected your favorite portrait, your artwork will be carefully crafted and completed in approximately 4–6 weeks. Each piece is professionally printed using archival materials and finished with the attention to detail that ensures it will be treasured for generations.

04. Do you offer packages and digitals?

Yes! I offer thoughtfully curated artwork collections designed to provide the best value while helping you preserve your portraits in a meaningful way. Digital files are also available and are included with artwork collections, as my focus is on creating beautiful heirloom pieces that can be enjoyed every day—not just stored on a device. You'll find a link to view all available collections and pricing later on this page.
a few things to remember
Less is more
For the most natural expressions, I do my best work when I can connect with your child without too many distractions. If possible, limit the number of people attending the session to those who truly need to be there. Children often feel like they have to perform- or they become shy-when there are several people watching. I'll gently guide them every step of the way.
a little preparation goes a long way
A well rested child is almost always a happier, more relaxed child. Before your session, make sure their little faces are clean, nails are tidy, and hair is ready as you'd like it to appear in your portraits.
your energy matters
Children take cues from you. I have seen it over and over in my years of photography. When the parent is anxious then so will the child. If you're excited and relaxed, they usually will be too. Try to avoid telling them they have to smile or be good. Instead, let them know they are simply coming to meet a new friend who is going to make something beautiful with them.
trust the process
Every child is different, and that's exactly what I love. Some are playful, some are quiet, and some take a few extra minutes to warm up. There is no "perfect" way for your child to be.
